About WELLER Leather
Hello I'm Andrew and welcome to WELLER Leather small leather goods.
My experience and training working with leather started soon after leaving school making designer shoes, though this was an industrial environment there were still many processes that could only be done by hand which have become invaluable learning for what I do now.
In 2016 I formed WELLER Leather Small Leather Goods experimenting with some ideas I had and was pleasantly surprised how quickly my ideas turned into sales. Sales expanded into custom orders and I soon moved away from the small and moved on to bigger things.
I’ve always been interested in vintage leather Goods especially military style items, bags, camera box and cases from the 50’s so it’s probably not a surprise that my style moved in that direction. Most of the items I make and design today are based around vintage ideas using natural full grain vegetable tanned leathers. All items I make are traditionally handmade, cut, hand stitched and finished.
I have also found an interest in mixing leather with other materials such as canvas this has opened up many new ideas and projects. Again these items are all handmade but with a little help from a Singer 201k sewing machine made in the 1940’s again keeping what I do and how I do it vintage.
I hope you find something in my shop you like; if you have any questions about any of my small leather goods please contact me.
